f.s.l. – loafers

Because even in the winter, there should be a reason to go sockless.  Foolish? Perhaps. But with beautiful options like these, why not go for the glory?

Also a good investment for the traveling man. Making airport security checkpoints less of a hassle, follow up by wearing them to the meeting and the night on the town afterward. Invest well in a sturdy, supple leather pair and you’ll thank yourself for the little comfort you can find as you walk your hangover off through the seemingly endless terminals the next morning.

I enjoy reading your blog and I can usually get behind your articles, but your taste in loafers is atrocious. :/

I completely agree with Doug, but I don’t really care for loafers anyway. But, if you’re going to wear loafers, at least pick something unique and NEVER, EVER wear them with a suit or blazer. Because if you’re going to wear loafers with a suit, then you might as well just wear some boat shoes.

In my view loafers are only worn by lazy businessmen and fashion wannabes who don’t know what they’re doing. As I’ve stated elsewhere, there’s nothing wrong with loafers, other then that they are greatly abused by men who try to dress them up, as well as by men who think that a common pair of loafers worn casually will indicate that they’re some sort of style king.

Really, there is no shoe more abused by men then the loafer and that includes Crocs.
